At age 26, Johnny Oskam channels the vintage vibe of past blues and rock greats through a modern lens with his soulful original songs, powerful guitar solos, heavy riffs and dynamic live performances. Drawing influence from Led Zeppelin, Cream, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan to Soundgarden, Rival Sons and everything in between, Johnny's sound is fresh, yet familiar. His influences can be heard in all of his original songs, yet they don't come across as mere copies from the past. They are a reincarnation, so to speak, capturing the soul behind the music, but presenting it in a genuine way. He is even better live. Live performances are a journey into a spiritual experience. Loud. Tight. Guitar playing out of this world. And every show is different. There seems to be a moving spirit in the live performance that can be felt, and it comes across in the music and the band dynamic. This is an experienced band. His live performances often leave the audience puzzled. "How can someone this young be THIS good?"
In My Shadow - full length album - 9 tracks - released march 14, 2017.
